Still can't get it to snap to grid even though I set it to that. Did something change between 11 and 12? I used to be able to move midi notes. But I have nothing but problems with this program. I'm trying to learn Cubase so that I can switch because PT's update plan makes no sense for a hobbyist. Why? I never have this kind of problem with ProTools. Well, not quite true, I move them where I want them but they move back. Then it won't let me edit the midi notes. I am not even sure why after trying multiple times it suddenly worked. I try projects/chord track/chords to midi. I can follow instructions, why can't it? It says drag the chords from the chord track to the midi track. Open it in Ableton Live and make sure to launch both the "Chords" clip (on track "Chords") and the "Melody" clip (on track "Piano Melody") at once.I am about done with this program. You can download a simple example project here: MelodicFlow_Chord_Master_Track_Project.zip. The instrument on this track will help you to listen to chords without having to use the "pass notes through" feature of MelodicFlow. Solo and un-mute the chord track to play around with chord progressions. It won't do this if you don't add an instrument there.

As the "chord master track" contains an instrument, Ableton Live will continue to generate MIDI notes on the chord track.

This is important for solo/mute behaviour. Put a simple piano instrument on the "chord master track" and turn off the Track Activator (purple). The "chord master track" (yellow) contains the chords.
